Meeting #1: Government Operations CAP Kick-Off

The kick-off meeting provided an overview of this cohort, what is required to create a government operations climate action plan and what focus areas should be included.  

Homework for next meeting 

  1. Look at your government operations GHG inventory and the emissions in each sector. What is your highest emitting sector/s? Create a list of municipal staff who can help influence emissions in each sector.  
  2. Create a list of actions that have been done or are ongoing in your community. (This work to be completed in the planning tab of your initiatives spreadsheet).

This meeting provided an overview of the transportation sector, how to create a transportation GHG reduction goal, and how to prepare for meetings with municipal staff.
