Welcoming New Staff: Brandon Toye
Brandon Toye joined HVRC in December 2025. He works on the NYSERDA Clean Energy Communities Program, providing support as a Clean Energy Communities Coordinator to communities working to reduce energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions through the implementation of cost-saving clean energy projects. Brandon recently earned his MS in Sustainable Systems from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and participated in Ulster County’s Climate Corps Program, where he supported projects related to greenhouse gas inventories and climate action planning at the government operation- and community-level. He is eager to support the essential work of municipalities to take effective climate action and build community resilience to climate change.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Brandon obtained his BS in Environmental Science and BA in German from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Previously Brandon worked for a nonprofit, Slipstream, which seeks to equitably decarbonize the built environment. He supported programing for Wisconsin’s Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and Weatherization program, providing technical assistance and supporting workforce development for the weatherization workforce in Wisconsin. Brandon is looking forward to enjoying warmer yet snowier winters in NYS, and exploring the Hudson Valley, especially the great hiking and culinary treats.
